Portraits
is a collaborative project between the artist and an individual, a family,
or an institution. The Azouri family showed interest in Nada Sehnaoui’s
portrait project and entrusted her, for a period of time, with personal items
such as photographs, letters, books, articles, posters, clothes, toys, a deck
of cards, a tennis racket, and other belongings. Working with a selection
of the shared material, Nada Sehnaoui created “Portrait of the Azouri
Family.” The artist is looking forward to working together with families,
institutions or individuals to create other portraits.
